The Press seems to lump anybody that has committed or purported to commit a mass type of offense as a "loner". If you read further into the suspects behaviour it becomes clear that he is a person who has obvious mental issues, and is only now being assessed for those issues. Most probably he was shunned by most of society because of his mental problems, and was also not given access to mental health services or simply never properly assessed in the first place. You will see these unfortunate souls around any big city everyday, poor bastards. We all know not enough resources are channelled to these people.

How about the press report this instead: "the suspect was failed by the current mental health system due to not enough votes being cast by the mentally ill and a lack of a co-ordinated mental health lobby group."

From start to finish this is an unfortunate, possibly avoidable, tragedy for both the victims and perpetrator's family.
