Kahunas

Looking only at retail country investment funds available through Morningstar in Australia. I discover that there are only four available for North America. Other representations are:
Asia ex Japan 21
Emerging 14
Europe 8
Japan 6
North America 4
China 3
India 1
A lot of assets have been deployed towards Asia and emerging markets. Which really could be one and the same thing. I remember during the aftermath of the tech boom that Asian funds were not even on the radar and emerging markets were not well regarded. World terms of trade patterns have been steadily changing from that time. Anecdotal evidence at best.

Its not unusual in life to have the odd good idea in whatever particular field interests. Does more information actually increase the payout? Nope.. Reflection on my life indicates that it costs, and costs hard, in what ever you happen to be studying. Certainly one of my numerous weakness's. As Marty Schwartz states, you have to have the kahunas, heaps of people do great analysis, but you have to have the balls to bet, and few people do both. I admire those who can.

Listen to Marty here flogging his book:

Most of the interviews on this site are crap but they are interesting time capsules of the tech wreck.
